Silicone Rendering

A modern, low-maintenance finish

Silicone render is one of the most popular choices for homes across Bedford and Bedfordshire, and for good reason. It's flexible enough to move with the building as it settles and expands, breathable enough to let trapped moisture escape, and water-resistant enough to keep the elements out.

The silicone content also gives the finish a self-cleaning quality — rain tends to run straight off rather than leaving dirt to build up, so the render keeps its colour for longer than older systems.

Why homeowners choose it

• Breathable finish that reduces the risk of trapped damp
• Flexible, so it resists the hairline cracking that plagues rigid renders
• Self-cleaning surface that stays looking newer for longer
• Wide range of through-colours, so there's no repainting down the line

How we apply it

Silicone render is applied as a thin top coat over a reinforced basecoat, so proper preparation of the wall underneath matters as much as the finish itself. We carry out a free survey first to check the substrate and agree the right system for your property before any work starts.
